I usually use my blog site as a teaching site for teachers and students. Today I visited my alma mater, Seton Hall University. It was so wonderful to see the new building. There is so much space for research with hi tech-equipment. Students were doing research and it was so great to see them working and collaborating with each other. When I attended there was only one bathroom for women on the first level. That was a long time ago…. back in the 60’s. It was great to see my old professors and a student of mine who is studying chemistry there. I am so proud of him. It was great seeing him.
I got to visit the Education and Business Building and saw a Stock exchange right there providing students with real world problem solving…..
Great to go back but also great to see what has change.
The next best experience was Going to the Library that contains the contributions for the LaMotta Chair of Italian studies and the Valenti Collection. I sw many books that I saw in Italy but this time the titles were in English. The collection is in the forefront of advocating culture and diversity. I expecially enjoyed the the southern Italian book collection.
Great Day
